Human Resources Management in Small Organizations

Dark, dark, dark, that is everything I can see. My chilly, legs solidified as I endeavored to stroll forward through the frigid fog of the obscurity. The dimness didn’t startle me, my eyes concentrated on the light emission that reflected of the tips of my shoes. To take my psyche off the idea of being distant from everyone else, I shut my eyes, and thought of what I could be here for. I kept on shutting my eyes however being separated from everyone else made it difficult to think. The air around me felt dead, I grasped my clench hand, to give me the inclination as though another person was here with here with me. I could just hear the quickened speed at which my heart was thumping. I have never felt like this since I was in secondary school, when I went for the school crosscountry group. My legs got stiffer than they were previously. I bit my tongue and moved back a breath; soothing myself of the agony I could fondle riding the sides of my legs. The agony at that point turned out to be a lot for myself to deal with, I bit my tongue increasingly hard as the torment deteriorated. Unexpectedly the agony was gone and the sentiment of help over whelmed me. I sat on the floor, the pillar sat alongside me; it appeared the light was my lone wellspring of solace in dull. My memory of home, the spot I used to be, is murky yet shielded me from putting some distance between the real world. The contemplations of Catherine hanging tight for me after work and Beatrice getting ready supper on the oven made me feel great inside. Be that as it may, not every one of my recollections were this way, they were once loaded up with dread and disillusionment. Back home, in Sicily, I once fantasized coming to America and living the American dream, which the individuals of my town used to discuss. In any case, being the most established it was difficult to be sure, and living in house for 3 with a group of 8 didn’t help either. My town was poor as a result of the war so it made it harder for individuals to look for some kind of employment. While my dad worked during the day, as an angler, I and different kids played in fields behind my home. The sentiments I encountered playing in the fields were not at all like emotions I felt comfortable. I laid on my back, head siphoning like I had been attempting to read a minute ago for a test. The cut on my chest, which was strangely molded like an ear, was stinging under the weight of my shirt. I attempted to recall what I had thought about before the torment kicked in. The fantasy of me kicking the bucket felt so real†¦. there was me on the floor encompassed by individuals I knew †¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦ I thought harder†¦. there individuals from around the square, and some I have never observed before†¦.. furthermore, the warm voice†¦. the voice of Beatrice stood apart from the rest. I thought more enthusiastically and attempted to recollect what was happening †¦.. everything I could recall was the sound of individuals shouting my name and a pool of blood, that was spread from the base of my steps to the side of the asphalt. I was then away from what I was here for. I stood up, tore the image of Katie I had around my neck and hurled it into the light. The light at that point evaporated and it turned out to be totally dull. It was her †¦ Katie†¦ she is the motivation behind why I’m here. It wasn't right, the sentiments I felt for her that is the explanation I’m here. I should care for her not become hopelessly enamored with her. The envy I felt when I saw her with Rodolfo drove me to turn into thusly it was the idea of her being detracted from me truly got to me. Yet, I can’t set out to accuse him. It was me. All me. I laid back on my back, shut my eyes and laid totally still. If I somehow happened to wake and wind up in the pits of damnation I wouldn’t be amazed. In any case, if I somehow happened to wake up, enveloped by the arms of my affection, I would end my own life without even a moment's pause. So my family could live on glad and not need to stress over how I could botch their lives. This is the blessing I provide for you, my family an actual existence to live without the idea of me.

Nature vs. Nurture Examples

Nature vs. Nurture Examples Nature vs. Nurture One of the longest philosophical discussions can be summed up in three words: nature versus nurture. The center of this discussion entails where a person receives individual differences regarding things like behaviors, intelligence, sexual orientation, and personalities. One side of the discussion is that these characteristics are determined by nature and the other side of the discussion is they are determined by nurture. Nature is those things acquired by genetic or hereditary influences. Nurture on the other hand is those things that are influenced by the environment we live in. Nature can be said to be given whereas nurture can be said to be learned. Anyone who feels we are strictly hereditary beings have little hope for change. Those who find the environment a big influence in change could possibly find that change is much easier. There is clear evidence in things like eye and hair color that suggest that hereditary influence not only exists, but cannot be changed. However, when it comes to behavior and intelligence the belief is not so clearly defined. Are people influenced more by nature or nurture? Is there one answer that is more correct than the other? The debate continues. Examples of Nature vs. Nurture: 1. High blood pressure and obesity An example of this debate is whether high blood pressure and obesity is a health risk that is passed genetically from parent to child. Does a person acquire the risk of high blood pressure or become obese merely because the parent developed the same risk? Nature advocates argue that genetics have a high impact on obesity and high blood pressure. Nurture proponents point to the poor eating habits that cause obesity and the limited ability to regulate personal habits that lead to high blood pressure. 2. Homosexuality Another example and one of the most debated topics on nature versus nurture today relates to homosexuality. Nature proponents believe that homosexuality is genetic or outside of a person's control. Nurture proponents believe that homosexuality is a choice or a behavior influenced by environmental factors. 3. Occupation A person's ability to perform in a certain occupation also leads to a nature versus nurture debate. If a child follows in a parent's footsteps in a given career, someone might suggest a natural inclination toward the craft. Others might point to the nurturing that took place in the home as the child was being raised by that particular parent. This easily could have been then product of a learned behavior. For example, when a professional athlete has a child that also becomes a professional athlete, is that nature or nurture. Was the athletic ability passed genetically through birth or was it a behavior learned through countless hours of repetition and practice. 4. Personality The development of personality is often part of the nature versus nurture debate. People want to know how children develop their personalities. Is personality an influence of the parent through genetics or learned traits from their environment. Because a child acts like a mother suggest that they were predisposed to the hereditary influence of the mother. However, nurture advocates would suggest that growing up under the direct presence of the mother it was a learned personality, not genetically passed.

Our Church Has A Teaching / Worship Model For Teenagers

Our church has a teaching/worship model for teenagers that are different from most ministries. Everyone starts worship corporately, which includes praise and worship, invocation prayer, songs, announcements and greeting. We also recite a Bible creed, after which teenagers are released to continue their worship separately. The teen worship includes Bible study. One of the purposes for using this model is to allow teenagers the freedom to be taught in a manner that is more conducive to fostering dialogue. Observing teenagers in the corporate worship, I noticed that they were disengaged. This detachment presented itself in several ways: some were texting with their cell phones, other were talking among themselves, while others were looking off into space. Only a few seemed to be involved in the worship by participating or paying attention to the person speaking at the podium. They followed the prescribed format of the worship as in standing at the designated time, turning to scriptures when directed, and bowing their heads for prayer. At the point in worship when the congregation moves out of their seats to greet each other, I noticed teenagers actively even joyfully participating in the segment. Perhaps they enjoyed being able to move about or the opportunity to speak to friends or family members they had not seen all week. Nevertheless, this short portion of the worship peaked their interest.
